Know Your Worth

We live in an age where we are constantly told to settle and compromise for things. Whether in work or relationships, we are told to go for less than what we desire.

That's a load of bull s**t.

We all fall into that at some point or another, usually when we begin to feel discouraged.

I know what I deserve, but sometimes my resolve can start to chip away too.

That has happened when I have applied for jobs in the past. One particular time, I knew what I wanted and knew what I wouldn't settle for, but after some time, I almost settled for something that wasn't what I wanted in terms of money and location. It was more than what I'd made at my previous position, but still not what I was going for. It was my mother that snapped me out of that, and told me to say no to that opportunity. I had been working on manifesting the perfect job for a couple weeks, and was starting to get discouraged.

But when I turned that job down, I told them that I'd gotten another opportunity that was a better fit for me. You can say that I lied, but I say I was speaking it into existence. Lol.

A few days later I was contacted by another company for a position I was really excited about, and within a week I was hired! Unfortunately I was still in that weird headspace, and didn't ask for what I really wanted. I asked for more than what the other job had offered, but still not what I truly desired. When I was called with the job offer, do you know what they told me? That they were going to give me more than what I asked for because they knew I was worth more than that! A stranger knew I was worth more. You have to know that for yourself!

And even though I did know, I had been afraid to ask for that, and risk ending up with nothing instead. It all comes down to trust, and trusting that what is meant for you, you will receive. You know what you deserve, you know what you're worth, so don't put up with BS pay, BS behavior from people, and BS circumstances!

It is an act of self-love, which is a constant practice.
